Who are we?

Playground Basketball Center was founded by Australian basketball coach Fauzii Chan as part of a long-term initiative to create academic and sporting pathways for young people across Southeast Asia.

Through Playground, with basketball programs delivered by SEAJBL Cambodia, we’re helping young people develop confidence, leadership, healthy lifestyles, and opportunities through organised sport.

Our mission is simple: ensure that financial circumstances never prevent a child from participating in basketball and reaching their potential.

Become one of our founding Global player sponsors

Playground Basketball Center, with youth basketball programs delivered by SEAJBL Cambodia, is inviting just 128 schools, basketball clubs, businesses, charities, and community organisations to become our Founding Global Player Sponsors.

• Option 1: For 50 cents a day (US$182.50 per year) support 1 player and directly change a young person’s basketball journey.
• Option 2: Support an entire team (10 players), with that team proudly competing under your club’s name throughout the season.

Your sponsorship provides a Cambodian young person with access to a full year of weekly coaching, competitions, mentorship, and a safe community sports environment.

Together, these 128 sponsors will provide life-changing opportunities across our 13U, 15U, 17U, and 19U programs, ensuring that financial circumstances never prevent a child from participating in organised sport. Organisations are welcome to sponsor one player, multiple players, or even an entire team, leaving a lasting legacy while helping transform young lives through basketball.
