Since Playground opened, we’ve noticed the same thing happening over and over. A player arrives, looks around, doesn’t see anyone else, and leaves. Then 10 or 15 minutes later, another player does exactly the same thing.

The reality is there are plenty of people nearby who want to play. They just don’t know when everyone else is coming.

We also know not everyone has a regular basketball crew. Whether you’re new to the area, new to basketball, or your usual friends are busy, it can be hard to find people to shoot around or run games with.

That’s why we’ve created the Basketball Friends Telegram group.

Before you head to Playground, simply post:

• When you’re planning to come (at least 2 hours before if possible)
• Your name
• Your age
• Your ability level

Other players of a similar age and ability can then see your post, turn up, and join you.

No organising. No commitments. Just let people know you’re coming and Pay & Play.

Playground is open 24 hours a day.
